| John
White – Director |
| John's
first real interest in drama was at college where he appeared
in several productions as he trained to become a teacher. |
| When
he moved to Turriff in Aberdeenshire in the 80's he became a
member of an amateur theatrical group and appeared in several
pantomimes and musicals, the highlight being as an ugly sister
in Cinderella. 'The false boobs weren't too bad,' he states,
'but the high heels were awful.' |
| When
he and his family moved down to Perthshire he became involved
with Alyth Musical Society where he has been a member for 16
years. He became their producer in 2003 and has directed 'My
Fair Lady', 'A Tale of Two Cities', 'Nell's Belles', 'Wild Wild
Women' and last year a show he co-wrote with TLYMT Musical Director
Colin Grant, 'Bluebeard'. |
| Recently,
John produced 'Return To The Forbidden Planet' with the Thomson-Leng
Youth Music Theatre and he is also currently directing Alyth
Musical Society’s production of ‘Phantom of the
Country Opera' which is to be staged in April. |
