The Story.....

The place – Kansas, the time – it doesn’t matter, just imagine it’s when you were a child.

Dorothy Gale is in trouble. Miss Gulch has claimed that Dorothy’s beloved Toto has bitten her and demands that the dog is dealt with. Aunt ‘Em and Uncle Henry do their best to support their niece but the local sheriff has signed a paper and the dog must go. Dorothy is upset and angry with her Aunt and Uncle and the three farmhands, Hickory, Hunk and Zeke, who she claims did little to stop Miss Gulch taking her dog.

Fortunately Toto is not in the mood to be taken from his mistress and soon escapes Miss Gulch’s clutches and returns to his mistress. To protect Toto Dorothy decides that they must run away but on the road meets the mysterious Madame Marvel who manages to gently guide Dorothy back home.

But fate is about to lend a hand. A vicious twister is heading her way and before she can get out of the house to the storm shelter she is caught inside and knocked unconscious. On awakening she finds herself and the house in the wonderful land of the Munchkins, a strange but friendly people.

Unfortunately on coming back to earth the house has landed on a wicked witch and although the Munchkins rejoice at this fortunate accident her evil sister, the Wicked Witch of the West, is not amused, especially when she discovers Dorothy is wearing her sister’s powerful ruby shoes. Dorothy has made a terrible enemy.

Happily the good witch Glinda is on hand to protect her from the evil’s witch’s wrath and proceeds to point her in the direction of the Emerald City where she tells Dorothy the mighty wizard who lives there will help her find the way back to Kansas.

And so Dorothy begins her magical journey along the Yellow Brick Road. On her travels she makes new friends and has to overcome many dangers and when she finally meets the Wizard she learns her problems are just beginning....................
